Green and good times will abound when the 24th annual Tinley Park Irish Parade steps off at 1 p.m. Sunday, March 3 along Oak Park Avenue in Downtown Tinley. Come see more than 80 floats, community groups, local schools, businesses and performance groups show off their Irish spirit!

WGN reporter Brónagh Tumulty will be the Irish Parade Grand Marshal, and Jeff Keane and John Tadla from Andrew High School will return to announce the parade from the balcony of Primal Cut. A sensory-friendly quiet zone will be located at the start of the parade at 179th Street to White Egret Court for those who want to enjoy the parade without the noise.

Also be sure to stop by Teehan’s Tavern, 17329 S. Oak Park Ave., to help them celebrate their last day of operation before the old structure comes down and a near-replica is built in its place as part of the Harmony Square Plaza development.

Many thanks to this year’s sponsors, which include Apple Chevy of Tinley Park, Kevin Szabo Jr. Plumbing, Local 17 Insulators and One Tinley Park.
